First Wicket

Multi Bet

Betting Exchange Market
On a betting exchange you can bet not only for an outcome but also against it. Say Team A's odds are 1.80 — if you back Team A with a ৳500 bet and they win, you profit ৳400; if they do not win, you lose ৳500. A Simple Way to Understand Odds
Odds are written in three formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three carry the same information; only the way they are written differs.
Example 1 — Equal value across three formats: Team A wins, bet ৳200; decimal 3.00 = fractional 2/1 = American +200. If it wins, total return is ৳600 (৳400 profit + ৳200 stake). If it loses, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Favourite's odds: Team B wins; decimal 1.25 = fractional 1/4 = American -400 (minus means ৳400 is needed to win ৳100). A ৳200 bet returns a total of ৳250 if it wins (৳50 profit).
In American format, "minus" odds indicate a favourite — the larger the number, the more you need to stake to win ৳100. "Plus" odds indicate an underdog.
Live In-Play Betting
Betting while a match is in progress is called live or in-play betting. In cricket this is particularly engaging because every wicket and every over directly affects the odds.
What happens when a wicket falls?
Say Team A is batting and two wickets fall in the very first over — in that situation Team A's odds to win will immediately lengthen (meaning they become less favoured) and Team B's odds will shorten. Conversely, if Team A scores 50 runs in the first five overs, their odds will shorten noticeably.
Last-over drama
